Thanks to a big second quarter and a young star, Newton Falls will play for a District Title once again

Tigers sophomore Cody Dillon pumped in 12 of his game high 24 points in the second quarter to help lift the Tigers past Cardinal, 60-44, in the Division III District Semifinals at Howland on Wednesday night.  The Huskies had led 18-13 after the first before Falls outscored them 21-9 in the second quarter to take control of the game.

Senior Brian Sole helped close out Cardinal with an 11 point performance while freshman Dale Kernen chipped in with nine.

Newton Falls (18-5) will advance to Saturday's championship game to face league rival LaBrae.  The two teams split a pair of games during the regular season.  Tip off is set for 7:00 pm.
