Mooney Opens at Browns Stadium

Two defending state champions will be on full display against each other next year in week one of the high school football season.

Cardinal Mooney and St. Ignatius will kick off the 2012 season, with Cleveland Browns stadium as the backdrop. The two powerhouse programs have agreed to play each other in the showcase event.

The game will take place on August 25 at 7 p.m. in Cleveland Browns Stadium.

Mooney and St. Ignatius are two of the winningest programs in Ohio high school football history with a combined 19 state titles to their credit.
