The Mahoning Valley Scrappers snapped a four-game skid with a 4-2 win over the Hudson Valley Renegades Tuesday night at Eastwood Field.
Cleveland Indians Shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera concluded his rehab stop with the team tonight. Batting third as the Designated Hitter, Cabrera finished the night 1-3 with one walk and one strikeout.
Chase Burnette and Tyler Cannon led the way at the plate for Mahoning Valley, each with a pair of hits. Cannon likewise added two RBI on the night.
Scrappers' starter Jordan Cooper struck out six in 5.2 innings of work. Dale Dickerson picked up the win, despite recording just one out. Reliever James Ehlert worked three strong innings with five strikeouts, earning his second save of the season.
Mahoning Valley improves to 11-14 on the season, and returns to action Wednesday night against the Brooklyn Cyclones.
