The Mahoning Valley Scrappers dropped their fourth straight game with a 1-0 loss to the State College Spikes Sunday evening at Eastwood Field.

Mahoning Valley starter Alex Kaminsky suffered the loss but pitched effectively.  He worked six innings, allowing just one run on four hits, walking one and striking out two.

His lone mistake came in the sixth inning when Adalberto Santos broke the scoreless tie with an RBI triple to right-field which plated the lone run in the game for either side.

Brooks Pounders came in from the bullpen for the Spikes and notched the win, pitching three scoreless innings and giving up two hits.  Jhonathan Ramos recorded his first save for the Spikes.

The Scrappers will wrap up the brief two-game series with the Spikes Monday night at Eastwood Field. First pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
