The Mahoning Valley Scrappers split a weekend series with Williamsport, following a 5-3 loss Sunday evening at Eastwood Field.
Gregorio Rosario suffered the loss for the Scrappers, allowing two runs on four hits in 1.2 innings of work.
Williamsport's Ervis Manzanillo notched the victory in his first outing in the New York-Penn League. He worked six innings, giving up three runs on four hits and striking out four. Eric Pettis recorded the save for Williamsport.
Despite getting a no decision, Mike Rayl pitched well for the Scrappers working five innings, giving up two runs on four hits and striking out four.
The Scrappers will head to Batavia to take on the Muckdogs in the first of a two-game series Monday night. First pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
