It's finally back to work for Kelly "The Ghost" Pavlik. The Middleweight Champion returned to the ring Monday afternoon for day one of his training for his December title bout.

The Ghost has been off for 7 months, but not exactly resting. Pavlik has been battling an infection in his left hand. He's undergone a couple of surgeries, and even spent a few days in the Cleveland Clinic last month after having an allergic reaction to antibiotics.

Now, he's healthy, healed, and ready to work. "Oh yeah, I feel 100-percent, especially mentally. I'm ready to go. It's been such a long time, so I'm anxious to get back into the ring. The hunger has been since the first Taylor fight. I think I'm physically and mentally 100-percent."

Trainer Jack Loew agrees. "To see him a month ago, to see how bad he was laying in the hospital bed and how sick he was compared to coming in the gym today and catching that right hand, it's a huge difference. I'm glad there are people out there doubting us, you know, because I love to prove ourselves. It's just gonna make the victory that much more sweet when I can get on the podium after the fight and point my fingers at a few people that have said some things about us. I'm not that old yet.  I've got a pretty good memory and I do know who to point them fingers at."

Pavlik defends his title against Paul Williams in December.
