Jackson Milton senior Johnny Matacic wins back-to-back Division III state wrestling titles, after defeating Alex Carroll from Galion Northmor, 8-2 in the 130 pound weight class.
Two other Jackson Milton wrestlers were competing in the state competition. At 119 pounds, Vinnie Pizzuto finishes 3rd, by defeating Keystone's William Spangler 8-4. In the 125 pound weight class, Tim Wiseman finishes 5th over CVCA's Josh Decatur by a 3-2 score.
Canfield High School also had two wrestlers competing for a Division II state title. At 125 pounds, Robby Reed falls to Oak Harbor's Tyler Hackworth, 2-0, to finish state runner-up. In the 130 pound weight class, Alex Benedict loses to Walsh Jesuit's Johnni DiJulius by fall at the 3:19 mark, to finish state runner-up.
Boardman's John Dillon finishes in 6th place in the Division I, 119 pound weight class. Beaver Local's Johnny McComas finishes in 6th place in the Division II, 125 pound weight class.
