Springfield defeated East Palestine 3-1 (25-17, 26-24, 23-25, 25-17) advancing to the district finals.
Brooke Schrieber led the way for the Tigers with 34 digs, 21 kills, nine points, and one ace; while Jessica Evan had 44 assists, ten blocks, seven points, and two aces. Madison Groner led Springfield in points with 19 to go along with one ace and six digs. Sarah Sauerwein had quite a day in the ground game with 49 digs, with Morgan Buchenic getting 12 kills and five blocks.
With the victory, Springfield advances to play Girard in the district finals, Wednesday October 26 at 6 p.m.
