One year ago, Warren JFK beat Windham 12-0 to advance to the State Softball Tournament for the first time in school history.

The rematch was much closer.

The Eagles scored the only run of the game late to hold off Windham 1-0 in Wednesday's Division IV Regional Semifinal in Kent.  Sophomore Gabriella Lee delivered the big hit with an RBI double, scoring pinch-runner Adrian Ashdown in the top of the 7th inning.

Senior Rachel Pico tossed another gem, striking out 12 while allowing only one hit.  She also had two of the Eagles five hits on the day.

Kennedy (16-5) advances to Saturday's Regional Final at noon.  They will face the winner of Thursday's game between Crestline and Mogadore.
