Seven runs in a two inning stretch helped Ursuline advance to its first ever state championship game on the softball diamond as the Irish rolled over Sandy Valley, 7-1. Sarah Ingalls paced the offense with three hits and three rbi's. Ingalls belted a three-run home run in the 5th inning to cap Ursuline's scoring. The Irish got on the board with four runs in the fourth. Casey Lower and Kelli Kolenich both had hits in the inning to drive home runs. Lower made the lead stand up on the mound strking out 8. Ursuline will play Hebron Lakewood for the Division III State Title on Saturday at Firestone Park in Akron at 4 pm. This is Ursuline's first appearance in the Softball State Tournament.
