The Ursuline Softball Team fell to Hebron Lakewood 5-0 in the Division III State Finals Saturday at Akron's Firestone Stadium. It was Lakewood's second straight Division II State Title. The game was scoreless until the fifth when the Lancers loaded the bases and and came through with a bases clearing double to make it 3-0.
Irish pitcher Casey Lower allowed nine hits on the day with two strikeouts in the loss. Lower finishes the season with a record of 27-6.
This was the winningest softball season in Irish history. Ursuline finished the season with an overall mark of 27-7.
