Poland's softball team captured the first state title in the history of the program with a 4-0 victory over Keystone in the Division II State Championship Game.
Pitcher Erin Gabriel allowed just one hit in Saturday's game, earning the victory for Poland. Freshman Taylor Miokovich drove in the game's first run for Poland in the sixth inning; a run that turned out to be the game-winner.
Poland added three insurance runs in the seventh inning.
