The Mahoning and Trumbull County Softball All-Stars split a doubleheader in the seventh annual Senior All Star Game held at Mauthe Field in Struthers Wednesday evening.

Mahoning County won game 9-0, behind Casey Lower's (Ursuline) four-hit shutout.  Sarah Ingalls (Ursuline) and Vickie Farris (Cardinal Mooney) each drove in two runs for Mahoning County in the win.  Poland's Nicole White added a pair of hits in the victory.

Trumbull County rallied to come away with an 9-8 victory in game two of the twinbill.

Mahoning County ralled to take a 8-7 lead in the top of the seventh when Boardman's Jamie Messaro doubled, and scored on an Ashley Barron (Struthers) 2-out single.

But in the bottom of the inning, Aubrey Hale (Niles) scored the game winner on Angie Custer's RBI single.  Hale finished the game a perfect 3-3 with three RBI for Trumbull County.
