Columbiana's Run Ends in Semis

Columbiana's softball team fell 6-2 in the Division IV State Semifinal to Convoy Crestview, giving the Clippers a final record of 15-10.

Dakota DeAmicis pitched six innings for Columbiana, allowing six runs (five earned). She struck out five batters in the loss; her individual record stands at 12-8.

Khylea Fullum led the way offensively for Columbiana; she was 2-3, including a homer to lead off the seventh inning. Jordan Stoddard was 1-3 with an RBI single, and Hayley Goist had a hit in two at-bats.

With the win, Convoy Crestview will meat Strasburg-Franklin in the Division IV State Final game on Saturday at 7:00 p.m.

Maddie Preston struck out four batters and allowed six hits in seven innings pitched for Convoy Crestview.
