Wilmington got on the board first with a 52-yard Gunnar Donati touchdown run, but they could not hold off General McLane, losing 21-18.

The Greyhounds held a 10-7 lead in the 2nd quarter when the Lancers' Matthew Astorino scored on a 27-yard option play, putting General McLane up 14-10.

With just under two minutes to play trailing 21-10, on 4th-and-5, the Greyhounds needed a miracle. Quarterback Josh Tekac tossed the ball deep down field and Josiah Bloise made the grab between two defenders for the touchdown. Wilmington converted on the two-point conversion to bring the game to within a field goal.

The Greyhounds needed to recover an onside kick to have a chance, but the ball bounced off Nick Vasko's hands and McLane would recover to hold on for the victory.

With the loss, Wilmington ends the season at 9-2.
