Prior to week three of this season, West Branch was on a seven-game losing streak away from home. D.J. Dota and the Warriors turned that streak into wins as West Branch had now won two of their last three on the road prior to Friday night.

After a 4-2 start, Salem had dropped their last three contests.

Something had to give.

The Quakers opened a 14-0 halftime lead en route to a 27-7 victory over their rival Warriors. Austin Noel ran for 226 yards on 24 carries and scored four touchdowns, including an 82-yarder in the fourth quarter.

Salem closes out 2011 with their first season in the Northeast Buckeye Conference with a 3-4 mark and a 5-5 overall.

West Branch was led by the legs of Jake Mull, who ran for 73 yards on 16 attempts. The Warriors finish the year with a 3-4 league mark and a 4-6 overall record.
