Only up by three at intermission (40-37), East Liverpool posted 24 points in the third quarter compared to Wellsville's 13 en route to a 80-65 victory on Thursday night. The Potters improve to 5-0.
Brian Beverly scored a game-high 27-points for East Liverpool. Beverly had scored a combined 33-points in his prior two contests against Beaver Local and Salem. Mow Mow Thompson registered 18-points. Thompson now is averaging 23-points per game. Marky Thompkins and Christian Kyle also added 14 points a piece.
East Liverpool will now prepare for the Potter Holiday Classic on Tuesday, December 27.
With the loss, Wellsville drops to 3-4. Josh Carter and Camden Douglas led the way for the Tigers with 17. Seth Bradford also added 14.
