Warren JFK grad Jason Kokrak teed off in the Sony Open in Hawaii Thursday afternoon.

Kokrak finished with a first round 69. That's one under par and just six strokes off the lead.

He birdied three holes on the Oahu course, and will tee it up again Friday. Kokrak is the first Valley native in 30 years to play on the PGA Tour as a full-time member.

We'll keep you posted on his progress this weekend.
