The Kennedy Family is pleased to announce the hiring of Mr. Robert L. Andrews as the 2011-2012 Boys and Girls Track and Field Coach. Mr. Andrews has enjoyed much success as a Track and Field Coach at Glenville High School; he coached Division I State Championship teams five years in a row as the speed, strength and conditioning coach from 2003-2007. Mr. Andrews has also served as a Defensive Assistant under Coach Jim Tressel at Youngstown State University and is the owner and Founder of Speed-N-Skillz, a sports performance and speed enhancement company.
Brian Sinchak, President of John F. Kennedy Catholic School, said, "Coach Andrews is a valuable addition to our school family. His athletic and educational experiences will benefit our students and help to continue the excellent tradition of our Track and Field Program."
Coach Andrews earned his B.S. from Eastern Kentucky University in 1989, his M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from Ashland University in 2000 and received his Special Education License from Cleveland State University in 2008. He currently serves as Special Education Intervention Specialist for Warren City Schools.
Coach Andrews said of his appointment, "It is my privilege to be afforded this great opportunity to join this outstanding academic institution in a role to help continue building one of its successful athletic programs."
John F. Kennedy Catholic School is a participating member of the North League Coast and looks forward to a competitive season in the league and in state competition. We look forward to welcoming Mr. Andrews into the Kennedy Family and thank former coach, Brian Barton ’01 for his wonderful work and dedication to the Kennedy Track and Field program.
