Last season, Waterloo shutout not only Southington, 47-0, in week one but also the Wildcats’ new head coach Ryan Slone, 41-0, when he was at the helm of Windham.
Viking quarterback Henry Bolanv connected on 6 of 9 passing for 177 yards and 2 scores. Waterloo's running back Tommy Saviers ran for 281 yards on 10 totes and scored a total of five touchdowns (4 rushing/1 receiving). Southington's Kyle Reynolds passed for 134 yards (1 touchdown) and Hunter Romigh ran for 138 stripes on 24 attempts.
Waterloo will host Canton Timken next Friday as Chalker will travel to Sebring for their annual matchup versus the Trojans.
