The Mustangs were hoping to snap their five game home losing streak with a visit from Southington Friday night. The Wildcats outdueled the Mustangs, 26-20. Mathews has lost six of their last seven games. Mathews (2-7) had been shut out three times in their previous four contests against Youngstown Christian (34-0), Ledgemont (32-0), and just last Saturday to Grand Valley (35-0).

What a difference a year makes for the Wildcats. Last year, Chalker only scored 64 points the entire season. In 2011, they have doubled that amount and then some, already 149 points with one week to go.

Southington (3-5) will play Ledgemont in week ten as Mathews will finish their season away from Booster Field at Pymatuning Valley.
