Tuesday Hoops Preview, 1/31

Crestview (7-3, 11-4) at Springfield (9-1, 12-2)
-On December 20, Springfield held Crestview to a season-low 29 points. The Rebels have won five straight; however, entering this contest. Crestview has been led by the scoring efforts of CJ Collins (13.0 ppg) and Tom Oliver (8.1). Springfield has been victorious in 12 of their last 13 games. Ron Rogers leads the team in scoring (18.5) as the Tigers have three players who have shot better than 33% from three-point land.

Ledgemont (5-2, 7-4) at Bristol (7-3, 9-5)
-The top of the Northeast Athletic Conference's Stripes Division is on the line as Ledgemont plays Bristol. The Panthers' Austin Rimer has averaged 20.4 points per game since the calendar turned to 2012.

Central Valley (6-3, 11-7) at New Castle (8-0, 17-0)
-New Castle has scored an average of 80.4 points and has allowed 53.0 while Central Valley is only scoring 53.3. If the Hurricanes win, New Castle will hold at least a share of the Class AAA Section 2 crown. Shawn Anderson has averaged 22.3 points over the course of his last four games.

Jackson-Milton (7-3, 9-6) at Southern (4-4, 8-5)
-The Blue Jays sit atop the Lower Tier with their 7-3 mark. Jackson-Milton has won their last four games away from North Jackson. Southern, on the other hand, has won five of their last seven contests.

Fitch (6-7) at Lakeview (9-5)
-The Falcons and the Bulldogs will meet this Tuesday in a battle of two teams who have been involved in a slew of close encounters this year. Of Fitch's thirteen games, twelve of them have been decided by seven points or less or in overtime (5-7). Lakeview has been involved in seven which have been determined by eight points or less (4-3). Senior Dan Chepke has filled the baskets with a 15.3 average over his last three games for the Falcons. Lakeview's Zach McDivitt has posted a 17.8 average over his last five.
