Trailing 14-11 late in the opening quarter, the Big Red went on a 20-0 run to pull away from Sharpsville going into the half, 38-18. West Middlesex (4-2) cruised to a 85-59 victory over the Devils.

Entering Tuesday's contest, Jerrod Palmer had averaged just 6.6 points per contest; however, tonight he scored a season-high 23-points (7-9 FT) for the Big Red. Matt Dogan also scored 23 points. In five of Dogan's games this season, he has gone for 21-points or more. Trey Staunch added 13.

West Middlesex has defeated Sharpsville in eight of their last nine meetings.

West Middlesex has played one of the more rigorous schedules in western Pennsylvania so far this year. The Big Red has defeated Beaver Falls and Hubbard while dropping contests to undefeated teams such as New Castle and Mercyhurst Prep.

The Big Red returns to action on December 29 at Farrell's Dresch-McCluskey Holiday Tournament.

The Blue Devils (2-3) have now lost three of their last four contests. Tuesday night, the team was led by Paul Klenke who had 13 points. Sharpsville travels to Shenango this Thursday.
