The Sharon Tigers stay hot as they have run off four straight victories after Friday night’s win over Meadville, 72-67.
The visiting Bulldogs led at intermission 37-29; however, Sharon stormed back to outscore Meadville in the third frame, 24-14, to take a two-point advantage entering the final eight minutes (53-51). Sharon finished the final 2:17 of the game on a 8-2 run. The Tigers' Andre Jefferson led all scorers with 22. Sophomore Mark Henry posted 8 points in the fourth quarter to give him a career-high 13 points.
The Tigers improve their overall record to 4-2 and even out their Region 6 mark at 2-2. Sharon has now beaten Meadville in each of their last three meetings. The Tigers host Slippery Rock on Tuesday.
Meadville (3-1, 7-2) opened the campaign with six straight wins but has now lost two of their last three. The Bulldogs will welcome Titusville on Tuesday.
