Canfield Earns Regional Berth

Canfield defeated Salem, 3-0, on Thursday night to advance to the Division II regional semifinal volleyball tournament.

Abby Malsch led the way for the Cardinals with 19 kills, 13 digs and 2 blocks. Malsch also served up 13 points. Sabrina Mangapora was also strong at the net, with 12 kills and 8 digs. Ellie Rafoth dished out 43 assists, and her sister Rachel, had 16 digs and 12 points.

Salem's Alexis Smith had 13 kills. Lindsey Foster added 6 kills and one block. Salem ends its season at 24-2.

Canfield advances to the Stow Regional, where they'll face Beaumont on November 3 at 6:00 p.m.
