The Hurricanes captured a two-game lead in Section 2 after their 78-46 victory over Blackhawk Friday evening. New Castle (5-0, 12-0) has now won 14-consecutive regular season games. In the Hurricanes’ first eleven contests, they trounced the competition by a difference of 27-points.
Blackhawk (3-2, 6-4) began the season with a 0-3 mark but had run off six straight wins prior to Friday night’s loss. The Cougars had defeated New Castle three of their previous four meetings.
On Tuesday, New Castle will host Ambridge while Blackhawk will travel to Beaver.
