Tuesday Hoops Preview, 1/24

Hickory (6-2, 8-5) at Sharon (6-2, 8-3)
-There is a five-team log jam at the top of Region 6. Franklin sits in first place with a 7-1 division mark. Since beginning the season with an 0-2 record, Sharon has won eight of their last nine contests. Hickory has stumbled winning just once in their last three outings. Following the Hornets' 67-46 win over Sharon on December 17, Hickory has defeated the Tigers eight of their last eleven meetings.

Youngstown Christian (8-3) at Mathews (9-4)
-After a disappointing 2010-11 season for Mathews which saw the Mustangs compile a 7-14 record. The boys from Vienna are beginning to look like the team from two years ago which went 18-5. The Mustangs have won three in a row and are 2-1 versus Mahoning County opposition. Youngstown Christian has been victorious in each of their last four outings since losing to Northeast Athletic Conference member Maplewood, 55-47, on January 3.

Wellsville (3-3, 6-5) at Jackson-Milton (6-2, 8-5)
-The Jays are in sole possession of first place, one full game ahead of Lowellville (5-3). Jackson-Milton won their last two contests by scoring only 41 points per game. Wellsville has downed four of their last five opponents. In their first meeting of the year, the Tigers posted a 21-point victory over the Blue Jays (67-46) on December 13.

East Palestine (5-2, 6-4) at Crestview (5-3, 9-4)
-The Rebels knocked off East Palestine on December 13, 50-43. Crestview has won their last three while the Bulldogs have been successful in four of their previous five match ups.
