There's a new head football coach at Mathews. Former Lowellville head coach Mike Palumbo will take over the Mustangs' program.

Palumbo spent four seasons leading the Rockets, before serving as an assistant at Springfield last fall.

Coach Palumbo's hire becomes official at a school-board meeting next month. He takes over the coaching reigns from Dave Harries.
