Girard rallied in the second half to defeat Maplewood, 57-54. The Indians outscored the Rockets, 34-24, in the final sixteen minutes.
Girard (2-1) was led by Doug Thomas' 14-points. The Indians also received contributions from Craig Randall and sophomore Evan Standohar who scored 12 and 11 respectively.
Nolan Cubelis' group also ended McDonald's 63-game regular season winning streak in the season opener on December 2 (60-55).
Maplewood drops to 1-2. The Rockets' leading scorer was Tanner Spencer, who added 15.
