Tuesday Hoops Preview, 1/17

Crestview (7-4) at Lowellville (7-4)
-Lowellville steps out of the division to take on Crestview. The Rockets are tied for first place in the Lower Tier with Jackson-Milton.  Crestview received a 21-point performance from Tom Oilver on Saturday in their win over Mineral Ridge, 80-43.

Shaw (1-8) at Boardman (3-6)
-Boardman lost their last three outings and has not played since January 6.

Canfield (5-6) at Alliance (12-0)
-The Cardinals are flying high after their surprising win over Poland, 51-48, on Friday. Matt Yourstowsky has scored in double figures in seven of his team’s eleven games. Yourstowsky has averaged 15.4 points over the last five contests. Alliance sports an undefeated 12-0 mark. Just last year, the Aviators were 10-11.

Sharpsville (1-0, 5-5) at Lakeview, PA (1-0, 8-4)
-Since dropping 3 consecutive contests at the end of December, Sharpsville has won three of their last four. Lakeview has held five opponents to less than 30-points in their twelve outings. The Sailors have prevailed in three of their last five. The winner will maintain first place status in Region 2.

Grove City (4-1, 9-2) at Meadville (5-1, 9-2)
-Grove City had their 8-game win streak snapped at the hands of the unbeaten Franklin Knights (10-0), 63-48. Meadville began 2012 by winning their first six contests; however, the Bulldogs have been victorious in three of the last five games.
