LOWELLVILLE - Southern held off a late charge and went on to win 47-41 over Lowellville in ITCL Tier II play Friday.

Southern led 17-7 after the first quarter, but the Rockets chipped away and took their first lead, 36-34, with 22 seconds left in the third quarter. But in the fourth, the Indians held the Rockets to just two field goals and converted on 7-of-8 at the foul line to earn the victory.

Dylan Ketchum had a game-high 15 for Southern, followed by JJ Napierkawski's 14 and Damin Beadnell's 11.

Speedo Schialdone had a team-high 12 for the Rockets, Drew McLaughlin scored 10 and Dean Donatelli had eight.
