Newton Falls Knocks Off Liberty

Newton Falls (3-1, 8-2) topped Liberty Friday night, 52-39, on the MyValleySports.com High School Basketball Game of the Week. The Tigers have now defeated Liberty eight straight times. Newton Falls has been victorious in four of their last five outings. The Tigers will welcome the Jefferson Falcons on Tuesday.

Cody Dillon led the way for the Tigers with 23 points and 15 rebounds. He scored 19 of those 23 points in the fourth quarter. Matt Brazin added 14 points for the Tigers in the win.

Liberty's Jaylen Mann led the Leopards with 15 points in the setback.

Liberty (2-2, 4-4) has been extremely streaky this year. The Leopards dropped their first two, then ran off four straight wins and are now currently on a two-game losing streak. Liberty will tangle with Jefferson next Friday.
