Jacubec's 27 Enough for Struthers

Jake Jacubec led the Wildcats with 27 points to keep their unbeaten division mark following tonight’s win at Hubbard, 66-55. Dylan Schmidt tossed in 16 as Jordan Sapp finished with 11. Struthers (9-0, 11-3) has won seven straight against the Eagles. The ‘Cats have also won nine of their last ten outings.

Struthers led at the end of the first quarter, 12-3, after scoring the final ten points of the opening frame. The red and black went onto lead at the half by a score of 28-17.
 
Hubbard (2-5, 4-10) holds the distinction as being the last team to knock off the Wildcats in league action during the regular season. The Eagles knocked off Struthers, 56-52, on February 17, 2009. Tonight, Kirby Knutson led the Eagles with 12. Darnell Tate and Jordan Thomson added 9 points a piece.
 
Hubbard travels to Niles next Friday while Struthers will head to Canfield on Tuesday.
