Hubbard Snaps 5-Game Losing Skid

The Hubbard Eagles snapped their five-game losing skid Tuesday night in Andover with a 46-43 victory over Pymatuning Valley. The win marks the Eagles first since December 9 (38-36 over Girard).

Hubbard trailed 11-3 after the first eight minutes. The Eagles outscored Py Valley in the second by a count of 10-4 to enter the intermission down 15-13.

Kirby Knutson scored 25 in their Thursday night loss to George Junior Republic. On Tuesday, Knutson led Hubbard in scoring again with 16. Nick Shelton had 15 points and 6 rebounds. Ryan Smith tallied 8 for the 2-7 Eagles.

Tim Cross led all scorers with 17 for the Lakers (3-4).

Hubbard welcomes Canfield on Friday.
