Grove City Improves to 9-1

The Eagles continue to win as they have now prevailed in each of their last eight outings including Friday night’s victory over Farrell, 56-43.

Down 17-7, Grove City went on a 25-6 run to end the first half en route to a 32-23 lead after the first sixteen minutes. Torin Smith led the Eagles with 22 points while Jordan Patterson had 11.

Grove City’s lone loss came against Girard College, 59-56, on December 10. The Eagles (4-0, 9-1) will travel to Franklin to take on the Knights next Friday.

Farrell (1-3, 3-5) has now dropped three straight. Sophomore Ike Jones paced Farrell with 12.

The Steelers had defeated Grove City in seven of their last eight matchups with the Birds prior to Friday night’s loss. Farrell will head to Oil City on Tuesday.
