Farrell's Marsell Holden was almost a part of history with the near upset of #10 Murray State, Wednesday night. Morehead State led at the half 37-31. Thanks to a 29-14 run to end the contest, the Racers escaped with a 66-60 victory to improve their overall record to 19-0.

Junior Isaiah Canaan scored 20 as Donte Poole added 15 for Murray State. Morehead was led by Drew Kelly's 20 points and 7 rebounds. Holden played 27 minutes, scoring just 3 points on 1 of 6 shooting from beyond the 3-point arc.

Murray State was the first nationally ranked team to ever play at Morehead State's Johnson Arena which opened in 1981.

Morehead State (3-4, 9-11) will welcome Tennessee-Martin on Saturday.

The Racers (7-0, 19-0) will head to Southern Illinois-Edwardsville to close out their two-game road swing on Saturday.
