Since beginning the season with a 64-48 loss at Brookfield, Springfield has compiled 10-wins in a row after Friday night’s 46-25 victory over East Palestine. The Tigers (7-0, 10-1) are off to their best start since Jeff Brink’s 2002-03 Regional Semifinal team which began 22-1 behind the play of Dan Schuler, David Rispinto, and Jeff Mershimer.

Ron Rogers led all scorers with 17 points, while Nick Russell added 11.

East Palestine's leading scorer was Jake DiCello with 11 points.

Next Friday, Springfield will welcome South Range for the MyValleySports.com High School Basketball Game of the Week.

East Palestine (5-2, 5-4) had their three-game win streak snapped with the loss. The Bulldogs have won the last three ITCL Upper Tier titles outright. East Palestine will step outside the division on Tuesday to play Leetonia.
