The Campbell Gridiron Club recently started a fundraising campaign to install artificial turf in the football stadium, and now they are reaching out to the Valley.

During the last game of the season, members say the field was torn up, and it's expensive to fix, so to prevent it from happening again, they are trying to raise $500,000 for turf.

Members say the stadium could eventually host playoff games for local teams so they're hoping for some outside donations.

"We've been putting letters together. I've been mailing them out trying to get donations, offering them advertisements at the ends of our stadium; we're going to redo that, so for 10 years you'll be there," explained Nick Opencar, Campbell Gridiron Club. "We're actually offering naming rights to the stadium. It could be called Opencar Stadium John Knapick Field."

If interested in donating, you can contact Nick Opencar at 330-531-0528.
