Boardman fell to Shaw, 46-39, in high school boys basketball action Tuesday night.
Dayne Hammond was the lone Spartan in double-figures with 13 points, while Brian Butts added eight in the setback. Jamar Steverson finished with seven for Boardman.
Cordell Smith and Correy Maddox each scored 10 for the Cardinals.
Boardman returns to action Friday at home against Lake. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
