After winning 11 games last fall, Newton Falls has served noticed they plan on having even more victories this season.
The Tigers scored seven times in the first half and cruised to a 10-0 win over Struthers Monday night in the season opener for both teams.
Falls senior Angela Giuliano was the star of the night, recording three goals and a pair of assists. Giuliano was the team's leading scorer last year as the Tigers went 11-3-5. She is one of 10 returning starters this fall.
Jen Bjelac, who is coming back from an ACL injury, had a goal and an assist for Newton Falls, as did Brooke Rogers. Shannon Montgomery and Nikita Rasp also scored in the first half, while Rachel Ellis, Racquel Mayfield, and Hallie Zelle found the back of the net in the second.
