Farrell's D'Asia Chambers received Class A first-team All-State honors after her brilliant senior year with the Steelers. Chambers scored close to 1,500 points during her career playing for Ed Turosky. Farrell reached the 2009 Class A State Semifinals (Western Championship).

D'Asia will play her college ball at St. Bonaventure (NY) of the Atlantic-10 Conference. This past season, the Bonnies completed their second straight twenty-three win season by advancing to the Women's National Invitational Tournament. St. Bonaventure (23-10) were bounced by Northwestern, 66-62, in the second round.

New Castle's sophomore guard Kaylynn Waters was named to the Class AAA third-team All-State after averaging 18.4 points per contest this past season for the Hurricanes.
