Renee Farina is expected to be named the next head girls' basketball coach of the Salem program when the Board of Education meets on Monday evening.

Farina was named 2004 Division II All-Ohio Honorable Mention. Farina's Quaker team advanced to the state semifinals where Salem lost in overtime to Hamilton Badin, 54-50, at Value City Arena.

Farina went onto to play her college ball at West Liberty State College (2005-08) in West Virginia's northern panhandle. Renee is one of twenty-three Hilltoppers to score over one-thousand points (1,163) all-time. Renee holds the school record for most three-pointers made (324) during her career.
