It's been more than a decade since the Warren Harding Raiders took on the Howland Tigers, but this week the two teams will meet up, and tickets for the game are going fast.
Tickets went on sale Tuesday, and officials at both schools said ticket sales were brisk.
Howland School officials said anyone who wants to go to Friday night's game should get their tickets Tuesday or Wednesday, because there is no guarantee that any will be left to be sold the night of the game.
"I graduated in 1992 from here in Howland, but my oldest son is a senior at Harding and plays on the team, so I didn't want to wait until tomorrow to get my tickets," said Manny Killias. "It's kinda a big game."
The two teams have met 18 times. Harding leads the series with Howland, 15-3. The Raiders beat the Tigers 62-0 in 1998, which is the last time the two teams played.
For those of you who are unable to get tickets, you can still see the game. The match-up is the
MyValleySports.com High School Football Game of the Week on MyYTV. The game will be shown in its entirety at 10 p.m. Friday night.
