The Pittsburgh Pirates began their Tuesday by taking hard throwing right hander Stetson Allie (Lakewood St. Edward High School) with the 52nd choice overall (2nd pick, 2nd round) in the 2010 MLB Draft.
Left fielder Carl Crawford (Tampa Bay - 1999) heads the list of past players who were selected 52nd overall in the draft.
The Pirates chose another high school hurler with their first choice (2nd overall) in Woodlands High School's (TX) Jordan Taillon on Monday night.
