Grove City fell to Elizabeth Forward in eight innings of play.

The Eagles had opportunities in the top half of the eighth, but squandered them away as Alex Miklos got picked off at first and Brian Murone got thrown out stealing second.

Two batters later, Jon Anderson hit a grounder right through the shortstop's legs, scoring Jeff Revesz from second to take a two to one lead.

In the bottom of the eighth, Grove City struggled with location, loading the bases. A dribbler to second caused a close play at the plate, but the Eagles could not get the force out allowing Elizabeth to tie the game up at two. With the game on the line and the bases loaded, Jeff Revesz tried to keep the runner close at third, but the ball got past the third baseman allowing the runner to score from third, winning the game.

Elizabeth wins a thrilling quarter finals game, 3-2.
