Ursuline Rolls to Third Straight State Finals

The Ursuline Irish advanced to the state finals for a third consecutive year following a 48-6 win over Ridgewood Friday at Canton Central Catholic. 

Allen Jones rushed for 175 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while Akise Teague amassed 109 rushing yards in the win.  Teague also added an electrifying 62-yard punt return for a score in the victory. 

Irish Quarterback Paul Kempe likewise threw a pair of touchdown passes for Ursuline.  Chris Collins and Nico Irizarry were on the receiving end of those scoring strikes.

Ursuline improves to 10-3 on the season, and is to play Coldwater in the Division V State Championship Friday at Canton's Fawcett Stadium.  Kickoff is slated for 3pm.
