Struthers Girls Hold Off Geneva; Advance to Regional Finals

The Struthers Lady Wildcats have advanced to the Division II Regional Finals with a 50-46 win over Geneva Tuesday night at Barberton.  It's the program's first trip to the Regionals Finals since 1980.

Dana Mathews led Struthers with 27 points, while Katelyn Ardale added fourteen in the victory.  Kaitlyn Opritza added six for Struthers, with Helen-Marie Hird chipping in with three on the night.

Geneva was led by Taylor Webb who finished with 19 points in the loss.

Struthers advances to face Hathaway Brown in the Regional Finals Friday.  Tipoff is slated for 7:30 pm at Barberton.
