Niles Edges Out Beaver Local

Niles wins its 3rd game of the season after a 70-68 victory over Beaver Local on Tuesday night.

Joe Profanchick and Tyler Negro led the way for the Red Dragons, each scoring 16 points. Ray Russ chipped in 15 for Niles.

Beaver Local's Ryan Smith led all scorers with 21 points, while Nick Miller had 13 points.

Niles will play Salem in the first round of the boys high school basketball tournament on February 28 at Boardman high school.

Beaver Local will face Carrollton on February 23 at 7 p.m. at Ohio University Eastern.
