Campbell native Jake "The Bull" Giuriceo will fight in front of his hometown crowd once again, when he takes the ring as the headliner of "Rage in the Ring" on September 25th at the ITAM Club in Youngstown.  "We've been training really hard.  Just trying to work on everything, work on technique.  Just become a more solid boxer", said Giuriceo.

Giuriceo (7-0-1) is scheduled for six rounds, against a fighter to be determined.  "We always prepare in the same way, no matter who the guy is.  We train to just go in there and try to destroy him, try to make him give up.  Hit him with everything we've got, and hopefully he gives.  I'm going to keep walking him down, back him into the corners, just keep punching."

Keith Burnside, Giuriceo's trainer, says they've been trying some different training techniques, to get "The Bull" out of the ring, including training with Mickey Bay (15-0) from Cleveland.  "Great boxer, great puncher.  He's helping us out a lot.  But the training is going really good.  We threw a couple other things in there, swimming now, punching under water, doing different stuff, trying not to keep him in the gym all the time."

Giuriceo will also be fighting in a different weight class, dropping from 147 down to 140.  "I've been ready to make 140 for a while now.  If you check, a lot of my fights I actually came in at 143, there was one where I came in at 141.  So, I can make the weight.  I'm excited about it."
