Jacubec Reaches 1,000 in OT Win

Jake Jacubec scored his 1,000th career point in a 70-65 overtime victory against Niles.  The Struthers senior totaled 39 points on the night.

The Wildcats continue their home win streak.  Struthers (9-0, 15-3) has won seven consecutive contests and thirteen of fourteen overall. The 'Cats have now won league championships in each of the past three seasons. The Wildcats will next meet up with Poland next Friday.

Joe Profanchick was the leading scorer for the Red Dragons with 16 points, while Tyler Negro added 15 points.  Niles has lost ten in a row away from home. The Red Dragons drop their division mark to 1-8 and their overall record to 2-15. Niles returns to the 44446 zip code to play host to Poland on Tuesday.

In their first meeting of the year on January 13, Struthers received 20-points from Dylan Schmidt en route to a 60-56 victory.
